Community guidelines for comments on Avert.org:
Avert believes in a world with no new HIV infections, and where those living with HIV and AIDS do so with equality and the support they need. We do this by ensuring widespread understanding of HIV and AIDS in order to reduce infections and improve the lives of those affected.
Our comments facility on Avert.org provides a forum for sharing information and developments on HIV, sexual health and human rights issues. We encourage respectful and constructive conversations and reserve the rights to remove posts that are offensive, stigmatising, homophobic, act as advertisements, attempt to solicit funds or are off-topic. Comments that endorse an illegitimate HIV cure claim will also be deleted.
All statements and materials posted by contributors reflect the views of the individual contributors and do not reflect the views of Avert.
Comments from registered Disqus users (on news stories) are published immediately and moderated afterwards by Avert. Guest comments are moderated before they go live, so will not show up immediately.
As an organisation, Avert:
