Our Fundraising Promise
AVERT are committed to achieving high standards in all areas of our work; we want to ensure that we are completely honest, transparent and accountable in all of our fundraising activities. We follow the Institute of Fundraising’s Guidelines and Code of Practice and are committed to the Fundraising Standards Board’s Fundraising Promise, so you can be sure that when donating to AVERT, you can give with confidence.

Fundraising Complaints Procedure
We welcome feedback from our supporters and we take every complaint seriously. If you do wish to make a complaint about anything relating to our fundraising activities, you can first raise the issue with our fundraising team (details below). We will acknowledge receipt of your complaint within 7 days of receiving it. Our fundraising team will then investigate the matter along with our Chief Executive. You will be notified of the outcome of the investigation within 30 days of having made the complaint.

If you are not satisfied with the outcome of our investigation, you can take your complaint to the Fundraising Standards Board (FRSB) within two months of our response. The FRSB (contact details below) are an independent body that exist to ensure that charities raise funds in an honest and open way. They will investigate the matter if it has been through our internal complaints procedure and remains unresolved. We will co-operate fully with the FRSB and provide them with any information they request. As AVERT is a member of the FRSB, we are committed to abide by any decision that they make on complaints that have been escalated to them. The FRSB will try and resolve the matter within 30 days of being informed of the complaint.
