Elderly carers of orphans and vulnerable children affected by HIV/AIDS in rural Eastern Cape (South Africa) have received permaculture training to develop community gardens to provide sustainable food for the community. Nutrition is very important to effectively adhere to antiretroviral treatment for HIV.
