Fundraising for AVERT through your university RAG (Raising and Giving) or charity week is a fantastic way to raise awareness of HIV, AIDS and better sexual health. Your fundraising will allow us to continue our educational HIV/AIDS website, our information and advice service and our community programme in sub-Saharan Africa. We also have a fantastic fundraising team who are able to provide the tips, tools and resources that will make your fundraising event a real success.
AVERT's vital HIV and AIDS work is dependent on your donations. We would be extremely happy to discuss our work with your RAG or charity week committee at any time.

If there's an aspect of RAG planning that you'd like us to get involved with, our fundraising team will be happy to discuss your suggestions and offer help and support with promotion, marketing and fundraising legalities.
The AVERT team is on hand to share our fundraising knowledge and can also offer advice on talking about the issues surrounding HIV, AIDS and sexual health. If you'd like advice or assistance in creating the information material you need, for example using links to our website pages, games and quizzes or advice on talking about HIV/AIDS and sexual health, please get in touch.
AVERT can also help you set up and access the latest resources for quick fundraising, such as JustGiving for teams and making text donations.
Additionally, we can promote your fundraising activity or event on the AVERT website, which is accessed by over 2.5 million people per month globally. Our Facebook page would be the ideal place to post a link to your fundraising event or website, in order to promote it to the thousands of people that use our social network. Send us your photos, videos or stories and we'll be happy to write a post for our wall in the hope that together, we can inspire others to fundraise too.
Holding a raid or charity collection
AVERT is based in West Sussex, near Brighton, which is also a great location for a raid. If you're thinking of holding a raid, let us know so that we can get in touch with other universities who are holding a RAG or fundraising event for AVERT. That way your activities might go nationwide! We can also advise on permits and licenses regarding charity collections should you need it.
