All throughout the year, wonderful people come together to raise money in support of AVERT's AIDS work. We couldn't do it without you!

Maroushka, Alex, Tom and Andrew

Maroushka Saldanha and her friends Alex, Tom and Andrew took AIDS awareness to the streets of Melbourne, Australia. They sold their own hand made bookmarks, played a scorching saxophone solo and sported our AVERT t-shirts to raise awareness and money for AIDS work! Adelaide Red Week

Adelaide Medical Students Society held a week long 'Red' event in aid of AVERT's work. From a 'Reducation forum' featuring positive speakers, a 'Red Fest' of delicious red food treats, cocktails with a touch of red, to a fantastic final red party where they released hundreds of red balloons over their partygoers, AMSS really put on a show. Candie Brathwaite

Candie Brathwaite from London is running a half marathon, on every continent of the earth, in order to raise money for AVERT and awareness about the issues surrounding living with HIV. She recently completed the London Marathon - AVERT's first ever London Marathon participant! Thank you so much Candie. You too can follow her journey through the updates on her  fantastic blog.

Leeds University Union

Leeds University Union held their Safer Sex Ball and donated the proceeds of ticket sales to AVERT. Thank you!

Powerglove

Thomas Babjack and the fellow participants of the Powerglove group in the U.S.A held a marathon with a difference. No running shoes were involved; in fact, they held a video games marathon, playing for hours to raise money for AVERT's work.

Matthew Till

Matthew held a stall outside Manchester Student Union to raise money and awareness about HIV/AIDS. Oxford Road is the busiest road in Manchester and a huge crowd took an interest on World AIDS Day.

Victory Housing Trust

The trust held a World AIDS Day week from November 28th, including a 'dress down' day with a red theme to promote AIDS awareness complete with AVERT t-shirts and red ribbons!

Maryellen and her team

Fundraising for AVERT and taking HIV/AIDS awareness to colleges in the Newham area of London with a fantastic team of young people, Maryellen and her team helped raise money and awareness for AVERT.

Wellbeing Team at City College Norwich

The Wellbeing Team at City College Norwich organised an AIDS awareness week.

Students at Hailsham Community College

Dominic White, Tilley Ray, Heidi Hollister, Jack Cowell and Lauren Hobson, walked for 7 hours from Eastbourne Pier, U.K, along the 'cuckoo trail,' to raise money for AVERT!

Southern Rail and Horsham Train Station

The fantastic people at Horsham Railway station have allowed AVERT staff and volunteers to raise money and awareness of HIV/AIDS this World AIDS Day. http://www.southernrailway.com/your-journey/station-information/HRH/

Keysource

Keysource, an award winning data centre business from Horsham, are kindly volunteering in Horsham town centre to help hand out red ribbons and raise money for AVERT on World AIDS Day.

Sussex Student Stop AIDS Society

Taking the challenge with a HIV/AIDS lecture panel, Start Listening, Stop AIDS on the 29th November, as well as a fantastic music event, 'Start Dancing Stop AIDS,' Sussex Stop AIDS Society have helped to raise money and awareness for the HIV/AIDS work of AVERT. The society are a fantastic bunch of students advocating for greater HIV/AIDS awareness amongst the public and government. AVERT is hugely grateful to the team at Sussex for helping to share HIV/AIDS awareness and raise money for the cause!

Even if we don't currently have an event that you can participate in, it's still easy and fun to organise a fundraising event yourself!
