A locked condom cabinet in a branch of CVS/pharmacy, America's largest pharmacy chain. Companies like CVS argue that locking condoms in cabinets prevents shoplifting. However, this practice also makes it more difficult and embarrassing for people to access condoms as they must contact a shop worker for assistance. This is a particularly significant barrier for young people, who may be treated disapprovingly by salespeople. This photo was taken in 2007 in San Diego.
