Doctors seeing patients in an HIV clinic at ECWA Evangel Hospital, Jos, Nigeria. When this photo was taken the hospital's HIV/AIDS care programme was seeing hundreds of patients each week and had only two exam rooms dedicated to the purpose. Not uncommonly, as in this picture, it was necessary to see two patients at the same time using the same office. The programme is funded by the US government as part of PEPFAR (the President's Emergency Plan For AIDS Relief). The word "PEPFAR" is painted on the table and the bed in the photo.
