Laxmi with her husband outside her hut in a slum area in Mumbai. The couple and their nine-year-old son are HIV positive. Both are unskilled migrant workers from Andhra Pradesh and work at a construction site. Laxmi has been a beneficiary of Nirman, an NGO that works with migrant workers to enhance awareness on STD and AIDS and strives to bring about behavioral change.
